We’ve been quietly sitting on this news for a while now, but it’s indeed official, this week Doug Haslam joined Voce Communications, and yeah, we’re very fired up to have Doug batting for our team.

Doug Haslam

As some of you know, Doug comes to us with a background working for smart independents like Shift and Topaz, as well as a history and reputation of investing his own time and energy into successful local efforts like PodCamp Boston, Launch Camp and the like. It’s this sort of experience and insight into communities, marketing, and, well, the ways all of us are trying connect those two things together, that makes our team here eager to dig in and work with Doug.

Anyway, at Voce, Doug will be joining our Voce Connect business group and working, initially, on two big ticket social media consulting projects, and maybe more importantly, working for the first time with a salty team of doers and makers, the likes of @hyku, @christhilk, @ryanlack, @moesch, @nickgernert, @chrisscott, and many others here in our group, all of whom have been helping brands from Disney, eBay and Intel, to PlayStation, Comcast, and Yahoo, shape and manage their social media programs.

I already know Doug has much to offer and share with us, my hunch and hope is that we do too. For Doug’s perspective, check out his post, or become lucky follower 22k+ of @dough.

Welcome Doug, we’re glad to have you with us.
