John Welton is an Account Director, Global Programs Lead at Voce Communications and plays a key role in working with clients to develop campaign strategies and provide communications counsel across many types of clients from enterprise to consumer brands worldwide. He works daily with our teams around the world helping drive global accounts and scale programs beyond US borders. He has led internal employee, indirect channel and external communications programs for global brands such as Yahoo!, NetApp, Fortinet and other clients. Previously, in addition to doing some consulting, Welton worked on Compaq/HP in many capacities at Shandwick International and several telco and technology startups at Fitzgerald Communications. He has lived and worked abroad in Asia and Europe. A transplant to San Francisco from Boston, Welton received a bachelor’s degree with honors in Mass Communications and a minor in French Language from Boston University, Boston, MA. He is fond of early morning and late night conference calls! Welton currently volunteers his spare time helping local organizations get into social media and by acting as a communications advisor for a local health research think-tank.
