Tim Whitman brings over 15 years of public relations, strategic marketing, and communications experience to the role of Senior Vice President at Voce Communications.
Prior to joining Voce, Tim held Director of Corporate Communications positions at Kaspersky Lab and Application Security, Inc. Previously, Tim helped lead the Security Practice at Schwartz Communications (now SchwartzMSL) where he implemented and managed media and analyst relations programs for emerging innovators in the security software and hardware fields. During his time at Schwartz, Tim helped grow the Security Practice roster to what was then an industry-leading 28 security clients.
Tim is a “regular” at the security industry’s top annual events such as Black Hat and the RSA Conference. He is recognized as a centralized, go-to contact for the security journalist and analyst community. As a result, Tim’s clients and organizations have consistently garnered some of the most prestigious coverage and accolades in an array of media outlets across the technical and business press landscape.
Prior to joining Schwartz, Tim worked at Computer Associates for nearly five years, developing and managing PR programs for its various software business units. During his tenure, Tim helped take the eTrust security product portfolio and its management team from near zero visibility to being recognized as a major player.
Tim graduated with a B.S. degree in Athletic Administration from St. John’s University in New York.
