In 2010, we were asked to take on the new Packard.org project. They currently weren’t utilizing a WordPress platform so this project was built from the ground up. We were able to provide a site designed to highlight important visuals with a rotating lead on the homepage, special widgets to highlight Grantee stories and a database management system for the Grants and Fellowships.
PlayStation has multiple blogs, but SCEA – Sony Computer Entertainment America manages PlayStation in the US. The US PlayStation blog provides information on all things PlayStation; from games, updates, to relevant electronics and PS needs. Here, visitors can interact with posts, other users and share PlayStation information internally.
The homepage has a lead display that automatically rotates the latest leads and a vertical slider that displays other featured posts in a unique and engaging way. We’ve also made the lead display play video from the homepage.
We’ve customized a way to not have the DL and vertical slider display redundant posts. SCEA also has an upgraded search functionality that enhances search results and “see also” relevant content options.
We also customized the dashboard by adding a feature for background images. Now, SCEA can change out their site skins whenever they need to.
This blog theme has also been used to implement a PlayStation blog for Latin America and Brazil.
